Please make separate files for the FRONT and BACK of
your card. (QuarkXPress and InDesign users - please
use a separate page for the FRONT and BACK of your card)
DO NOT add crop marks. You may indicate "live"
area with a "non-printing" border.
- Appropriate printer and screen
fonts
- All supporting graphic files
separately (TIFF, EPS*)
- Always include a hard copy
(or JPEG or PDF) of your document
- DO NOT embed image files or
fonts
Your color files MUST be
in CMYK process color. Do not use RGB, Pantone or other
color systems as the colors can shift quite dramatically
and you will not get the results you were expecting.
Please ensure your files do not contain embedded color
profiles. Embedded profiles are discarded prior to printing
and can dramatically alter color results.
Add a 1/16" bleed to your
document size. For example, a document for a 4"x6"
postcard should be sized as 4-1/8" x 6-1/8"
(4.125" x 6.125") to account for bleed on
all four sides. Make sure you keep your "live"
area 1/8" (.125") in from the trim size.
Please do not embed EPS files in other EPS files (for
example, do not place a Photoshop EPS in Illustrator,
and place combined file into QuarkXPress, instead combine
the two files in QuarkXPress).
If you are using QuarkXPress or InDesign: do not reduce
or enlarge TIFF or EPS files more than 125% or less
than 75%. Color TIFF pictures boxes with a white background.
We also recommend rotating images in the original creator
program rather than in Quark as this can significantly
increase RIPPING time.
Please take a moment to read the
information below. Following the steps ensures that
your order will be processed quickly and accurately.
Because of the nature of our production
process, the colour of your re-order may differ from
your previous print order. KeeperKard does not guarantee
critical colour matches.
- Please advise us of your re-order
number (printed on your invoice and box) and mail/email/fax
us a copy of the front and back of your card for our
reference, along with your order form.
- Indicate any changes in the
Special Instructions area on the order form, or handwrite
them in the margins when you fax a copy of your card
to us. We can make simple changes to your file at
a reasonable cost of $20.00 to $40.00.
- Check the proofing process
to make sure you know what to do and what to expect
from us after you have submitted your order. Please
note that we will not print any orders without your
approval of the file - even when it is a re-order
without changes.
